After Joe E. Tata's death, Tori Spelling talks about the good times she had with him on the set of "Beverly Hills, 90210."

Joe E. Tata died after a long fight with Alzheimer's disease. He was best known for playing Nat Bussichio in the 1990s teen drama "Beverly Hills, 90210." He was 85.

Kelly Tata, Tata's daughter, wrote on a GoFundMe page Thursday that her father "passed away peacefully last night, August 24, 2022." She made the page in

October 2021 to help her father, who she said was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2018, deal with his condition.

"My father and I will always be grateful to family, friends, and fans for their love and support," Kelly wrote Thursday. "Please keep us in your prayers while I'm still sad about losing my best friend."

Kelly said that the Alzheimer's Association will get the money that was left over from the fundraiser. A GoFundMe representative made sure that Kelly's fundraising page was real.

USA TODAY has asked Tata's spokesperson for more information. Ian Ziering, who played Tata's co-star Steve Sanders, wrote on Instagram that Tata had died.

In the last few months, we lost Denise Douse, who played Mrs. Teasley, and Jessica Klein, who was one of 90210's most prolific writers and producers," Ziering wrote.

"Now, I'm very sad to say that Joe E. Tata has died."   "Heartbreaking": '90210' actress Denise Dowse dies at 64 after a hard-fought battle with meningitis

"Joey was the real deal," Ziering said next. He was one of the happiest people I've ever worked with, and he was just as kind as he was smart.
