A TikTok influencer and beauty queen from Toronto, Canada, died after skydiving in her first solo course last weekend.
Tanya Pardazi, age 21, died on August 27 after collapsing after finishing a jump at Skydive Toronto in Innisfil, Ontario. According to CTV News
Toronto, the skydiving school mandates that students complete a full day of ground training before trying a solo dive.
Pardazi, a University of Toronto undergraduate studying philosophy, opened her parachute after her dive.
Pardazi "launched a swiftly rotating main parachute at a low altitude without the time or altitude required for the reserve parachute to expand," according to a statement on Facebook from Skydive Toronto
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital after the collision, where she was later declared deceased.
