The Grand Maester Conspiracy in House of Dragon

The mothers have appeared in both Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon. They are wise men who wear chains around their necks.

Maesters help lords and their children by giving advice, making sure they are healthy, and teaching.

Each castle in Westeros has one, and they work for the person who rules that castle.

The Citadel, a kind of university in the city of Oldtown in the Reach, is where the maesters get their training.

When they start their studies, all maesters give up their family names.

This makes it impossible to know who they really are, where they come from, or where their true loyalties lie.

In George R.R. Martin's books, there are hints that the maesters do more than what they seem to do.

They might even be part of a Grand Maester Conspiracy. Fans of A Song of Ice and Fire have been spreading this theory around the internet for years,

but it didn't really come up on Game of Thrones. Could it make an appearance on House of the Dragon?

Some of the characters in the Song of Ice and Fire books say that they don't trust the maesters.

The maesters are also in charge of their lords' health care, and they know a lot not only about medicine but also poison.
