RuPaul's Drag Race queen Nina West plays drag icon Divine in Weird: The Al Yankovic Story

The former Miss Congeniality is becoming as filthy and strange as the drag legend who once proclaimed himself "the dirtiest person alive."

In RuPaul's Drag Race season 11, alumna and Hairspray stage star Nina West will play Divine, the drag artist and John Waters muse who made

waves in the 1972 cult classic Pink Flamingos, in Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. Weird, a satirical biopic directed by Eric Appel,

, is due to premiere at midnight ET on Friday as part of the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival lineup.

In Weird, Radcliffe plays Yankovic from his childhood until the end of his long career, which was full of problems at work and failed relationships.

In "In Nina", an LGBTQ activist and voice actor, joins the cast of stars portraying real-life individuals in a fictionalised account of Yankovic's career.
