Alexandra Eala of the Philippines beat Victoria Mboko of Canada 6-1, 7-6 (7-5), putting her in the girls' singles finals

of the US Open Juniors Championships at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York on Saturday.  

The No. 10 seed beat Mboko, the No. 9 seed, in 1 hour and 21 minutes. Mboko beat Swiss No. 4 pick Celine Naef 7-5, 2-6, 7-5 in the quarterfinals.

Eala, who is ranked No. 167 in the world for juniors, will play Lucie Havlickova, the second seed and current French Open girls'

singles champion from the Czech Republic, in the finals on Sunday.

In both singles and doubles, Havlickova is ranked third in the world. In the other semifinal match, she beat Diana Shnaider, the seventh seed, 6-4, 6-4.

They defeated Americans Liv Hovde and Taylah Preston 6-1, 7-6 (7-1) before facing Germans Carolina Kuhl and Ella Seidel.

They won 7-5, 6-4 against Americans Alexis Blokhina and Annabelle Xu.
