Original Belle in Animated ‘Beauty and the Beast
Years before Angelina Jolie became a global star, her style was most like Belle from "Beauty and the Beast," who had a "more European look."
The 1991 Disney movie came out the same year that Jolie was in the music video for "Stand by My Woman" by Lenny Kravitz. It was also four
years before "Hackers," the 1995 movie where Jolie made her big screen debut. Paige O'Hara, who did the voice of Belle in "Beauty and the
beautiful," O'Hara said in the book "Disney Princess: Beyond the Tiara," as quoted by Insider. I couldn't understand how anyone could relate to
that person. You'd look at her and think she was amazing. They changed the way she looked. She was almost too good to be true.
James Baxter, a Disney animator, said that they tried to give Belle a more "European look" than "The Little Mermaid" princess Ariel did in 1989.
This was done by giving Belle fuller lips, darker eyebrows, and slightly smaller eyes. The result was a figure that looked a lot like Angelina Jolie,
