NFL owner donates $1M to Farm Aid during Raleigh show
When Willie Nelson, Neil Young, and John Mellencamp put on the first Fair Aid concert in 1985, it was to bring attention to the loss of family farms
and raise money to help family farms stay in business. Even after 37 years, this message is still the same.
At the annual Farm Aid concert at Raleigh's Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek
on Saturday night, Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay gave a big donation to help the cause.
Irsay gave Mellencamp a check for $1 million for Farm Aid right before he went on stage.
From the food stands to the bands on stage, the festival had a strong farm theme.
