Blonde,’ Netflix’s Marilyn Monroe Biopic, the NC-17 Movie Rating Finally Comes of Age

The rating assigned to Blonde has received a lot of attention. The Marilyn Monroe biography, which premieres in a few cinemas on September 16,

was given an NC-17 rating by the Motion Picture Association, indicating that teenagers under the age of 17 will have to wait until it is available on Netflix twelve days later to see

what all the excitement is about. and there is uproar. Director Andrew Dominik boasted about the sticker in an interview with

the British cinema magazine Screen International back in February, using it as proof that he stood firm in his interpretation of Joyce Carol Oates' 2000 novel of the same name.
