Maren Morris is nominated for album of the year at the CMA Awards in November, but she wouldn't feel "comfortable" going to the event right now.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times that came out on Tuesday, Morris talked about her recent fight with Brittany

and Jason Aldean over comments they made on Instagram about young people getting gender-affirming care that Morris called transphobic.

Morris said of her CMA nomination, "I'm very proud that my record was chosen."

But I'm not sure I feel like I belong there right now. So many people I care about will be in that room, and I might decide at the last minute to go.

Morris said that he felt like he had to stand up to bigotry in the country music scene.

"I hate feeling like I have to be the hall monitor of treating people like people in country music."
