Lea Michele to Miss ‘Funny Girl’ 

Lea Michele will miss a few Funny Girl shows on Broadway because she tested positive for COVID-19 a few days into the run.

A little more than a month after Beanie Feldstein left the production, the Glee star took over the lead role in the revival on September 6. On

September 10, Michele wrote on Instagram that she was showing "early signs" of COVID-19 and would miss both of her Saturday shows

because the test results were not clear. A later test proved that she was sick. 
I'm sorry to say that I've been officially diagnosed with COVID. 

According to the rules of production, I can't go back to the theatre for 10 days, "Michele wrote on Instagram. "I'm glad I stayed home today and

caught this early because it kept so many people in our company from getting hurt." The production says that Michele will be back on the show on September 20.

Julie Benko, who was supposed to play Fanny Brice on Thursday nights, will be in every show until Sept. 18. Benko has been a standby in the
