Jennifer Lopez, a Latina actress and singer, is one of the people speaking out. On Tuesday, she posted a message on her Instagram Story
asking her followers to help in any way they could because the storm hit both Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
Lopez, who is 53 years old, wrote, "It is very important that we do everything we can to help our families in Puerto Rico and now the Dominican Republic.
"In Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, I'm working with the Hispanic Federation. These groups that are part of the Hispanic Federation
are on the islands to find out what the real needs of the people there are. "
