Japanese Blockbuster ‘Shin Ultraman to Be Sold

The Exchange has bought the sales rights for North America, Europe, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, and other regions for

"Shin Ultraman," a Japanese superhero film that was released on May 13 and was an instant hit.

The Exchange introduces the film to buyers at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The film was made by Tsuburaya Productions, Toho, and Khara. It made $31.2 million in Japan, thanks to how popular the

"Ultraman" TV show was when it first came out in 1966. Shinji Higuchi ("The Floating Castle," "Attack on Titan") directed the film

which was written by Hideaki Anno ("Shin Godzilla," "Neon Genesis Evangelion"), who also served as a co-producer alongside Takayuki Tsukagoshi and Minami Ichikawa.
