James Bond producers say theyre looking
The search is now on for the next James Bond. So say Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson,
who are well known for making Bond movies. In a recent interview with Variety, the two said that it's still "early days" for the Goliath casting.
Daniel Craig played the most famous spy in the world for 15 years, and the producers know that's a big job for any actor.
Idris Elba has been a candidate for a long time to be the first Black 007, but he recently said that the role isn't "a goal for my career."
"The thing is, it won't happen for a few years," she said. "And when we cast Bond, we commit for 10–12 years. So he's probably asking himself,
"Do I really want that?" Some people don't want to do that. Even getting Daniel Craig to do it was hard. Wilson added: "At the time, he was in his early 30s!"
Broccoli said this about the commitment needed to carry the weight of the franchise for many years: "A lot of people think, 'Yeah, it would be fun to do one.
