Alfie Brody, Vice President of Global Marketing Strategy at NBA 2K, said that this year's MyCAREER is the best one yet because of its size, depth, and
talent. "At the top of that list of talented people is our first cover star, who really combines basketball and music. Having visionaries like J. Cole and
DREAMER help make the game and the soundtrack shows what a cultural cornerstone NBA 2K23 has become.
The soundtrack for NBA 2K23 looks like it will be one of the most varied in the game's history. The former Rwandan BBC Athlete's soundtrack will be
a "global, diverse masterpiece" with music from artists all over the world. At launch, the soundtrack will have 36 songs by 36 artists, such as "Wants and Needs (feat. Lil Baby)" by Drake,
"Megan's Piano" by Megan Thee Stallion, "Surround Sound (feat. 21 Savage & Baby Tate)" by JID, "The Matrix"
by Ski Mask the Slump God, and more. Every Friday, three new songs will be released, adding to an already full and varied playlist. Through J.
Cole's curation, the game's popular Seasons will be able to include a wide range of artists, record label partnerships, and integrations.
NBA 2K23 also celebrates how music and basketball culture mix with its all-new MyCAREER experience on Next Gen. This is the biggest and most
involved storyline in the franchise's history. The story starts after the NBA Draft, and the players have to figure out how to do well in the NBA while
also managing their careers in music, fashion, and business. MyCAREER will have a lot of characters and cameos, but Dreamville musicians Elite and
Bas will also help players make friends with J. Cole and win over The City.
