Huskers Sweep Spartans for Cook's 800th Career Win
The No. 3 Nebraska volleyball team beat Michigan State 25-15, 25-19, and 25-23 in front of 8,282 fans at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Friday night.
This was the first match in the Big Ten Conference for both teams.
John Cook, the head coach of Nebraska, won his 800th game with that win.
He became the 19th coach in the history of NCAA Division I volleyball to win 800 games and the sixth coach still in the game to do so.
The Huskers (9-1, 1-0 B1G) only fell behind early in the first and third sets, but that was the only time they did.
It was their eighth clean sweep of the season and their 13th win in a row against the Spartans.
