Daniel Johns leaves an interview on The Project before he talks about his mental health problems and the drunk driving accident that sent him to rehab:

"This is how I'm going to die," I remember thinking. During an interview on The Project on Wednesday, Daniel Johns got up and walked away.

He then talked about his struggles with mental health and the drunk driving accident that sent him to rehab. The 43-year-old rock star told host Carrie Bickmore that

he "thought he was going to die" in the car accident that led to him pleading guilty to high-range drunk driving charges in March.

He also said that after his time in rehab, he "can't play or listen to music" right now and that he would have "killed himself" if he had hurt anyone in the crash.

But he said that the "great thing" was that "no one got hurt," even though "on paper, people should have gotten hurt." When asked what he remembered about the accident,

he said, "Everything, everything." I remember everything," she said before she was overcome by emotion. "I remember being lost. I remember how scared I was.

I can remember that it was dark. I can still see the colours. I remember, and I even remember thinking, "This is how I'm going to die."

"Is it cool if I take a break for just one sec?" Then Johns asked, and then he left the room.
