Dancing With The Stars Reports Multiple
Even though the season 31 premiere of Dancing with the Stars on Disney+ on September 19 went off without a hitch,
the ongoing pandemic still managed to dull the mirror ball: at least four cases of COVID were reported after the premiere.
A DWTS representative told Deadline that the four crew members who tested positive all work in "
ompletely different departments" that don't talk to each other in person. More than 300 people worked on making the show.
"Contact-finding was done right away," the spokesperson said next. "All close contacts were told, and testing was done more often.
Since then, no one who worked closely with the four employees who tested positive has tested positive.
The spokesperson went on to say, "The whole set has been cleaned, and as an extra safety measure, we asked most of our employees to work from home."
