DENVER – With 90 players on the team, there are a lot of guys to watch in the game against the Broncos on Saturday night.
But, as expected, you can cross at least 20 people off the list because the Cowboys won't play nearly two dozen players.
About three hours before the game started, those players were on the field getting in shape.
Dak Prescott, the quarterback, is definitely not going to play. He is one of the offensive players who is not expected to play.
Tyron Smith, Zack Martin, Ezekiel Elliott, Tony Pollard, and CeeDee Lamb, all of whom have played in the NFL before, are also out.
On defence, even more players won't play, with Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs being the most important ones. DeMarcus Lawrence,
Osa Odighizuwa, and Dorance Armstrong, who play on the defensive line,
will not play for the Cowboys. Leighton Vander Esch and Jabril Cox, both linebackers, will not play.
Jayron Kearse, Jourdan Lewis, Anthony Brown, and Donovan Wilson will all not play in the secondary.
Who knows if the Cowboys will stick to the same plan for their next two preseason games,
but don't expect to see those players on the field against the Broncos.
