Chris Rock asked to host the 2023 Golden

Chris Rock hosting an award show isn't just an idea that the Oscars producers are tossing around. Puck says that the comedian, who is 57 years old,

has been offered a "s—t tonne" of money to host the 2023 Golden Globes. But the actor from "Everybody Hates Chris"

didn't want to make a lot of money off of Will Smith, 53, walking onstage and slapping him at the 2022 Oscars, so he turned down the job.

The rumoured request comes a few days after the group behind the Golden Globes, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, said it had

signed a one-year deal with NBC to air the Globes on Jan. 10, 2023. This comes after the network decided not to air the 2022

awards show because the HFPA didn't have enough people from different backgrounds and was accused of being unethical.

People say that Rock was also asked to host the Oscars next year, but he turned them down.
