The Drew Barrymore Show is all about “optimism TV”

“The Drew Barrymore Show” is back for its third season, but on this day, the main star was having a rough start, just like many of us.

Drew Barrymore Show

She was having trouble with a pesky earring and was in a hurry to sit down.

She started by saying, “Hi, Lisa,” and Lisa Petrillo from CBS4 asked her how she was doing.

“This is how I am,” she said, with a bit of a worried look.

I can’t fake or lie. If this is the mood or mode, I’m in it. If you’re running around with your hair on fire, so be it. I hate it when people lie and say “Hi! I’m great! “

The award-winning actress, businesswoman, TV host, and mom is so popular and loved because she is so real and honest.

Her show is happy-go-lucky TV.

The goal is to give people who watch during the day information and ideas.

“I want to be a bright spot, not a blind spot,” she said. “The world is going through hard times, and I want this to be a remedy without making it seem like we don’t know what’s going on.”

I also love comedy. It’s how I deal with things when they get really bad. I just say, “Let’s laugh! “

She has a new segment called “True Crimes,” in which the real crime has a happy ending.

But her new passion is sitting down for real interviews with people who are famous and those who aren’t.

“I’m trying to do what you do, Lisa,” she said. “I love journalism and the news.”

I love the art of a good conversation. I’ve been on the other side of an interview my whole life, so I’m wondering how we could make this different.

Like the interview, she’s going to do with pop star Katy Perry.

“When I was going through a divorce, moving from Los Angeles to New York, and a career change, a lot was going on. I and my girls would sing “Roar,” and that was our song to make us feel like we weren’t lost or displaced. So, to get to say thank you to Katy Perry for that was such a gift,” Barrymore said.

Petrillo asked her if she had any secrets about dealing with pressure and stress.

Barrymore said, “I don’t want to make it seem like I have everything under control. Life is messy, and I’m doing my best, but it doesn’t always look or feel perfect.”

The Drew Barrymore Show airs on CBS4 every weekday morning at 9:30 am, right after the 9 am CBS 4 News.
