Elon Musk May Have a Solution Against Heat Waves

The richest person in the world is currently working on new products, but no one knows when they will come out.

The northern hemisphere is going through a heat wave that has never happened before.

Parts of the U.S. and Europe are being hit by another round of record-breaking heat waves, which are making the weather very hot.

In some parts of America, temperatures have reached triple digits, and millions of people have been told to stay inside. The National Weather Service (NWS) keeps sending out warnings about dangerously high temperatures, especially in the Southwestern and Central regions. There is no sign of when humidity levels will go down.

As long as an upper-level ridge stays in place over the Southwest, scorching heat will be a major weather story for at least the next few days in much of the south-central United States and in other parts of the country as well, “the NWS said on its website.

Western European countries are having similar problems because the area is going through its second heat wave in less than a month. This is putting the glaciers in the Alps at risk and making the drought worse. Wildfires are burning in the southwest of France as the country continues to break heat records. This comes after France had its hottest June since records began in 1850.

Britain broke its record for the highest temperature ever recorded on Tuesday, during a heat wave that has scorched large parts of Europe. The U.K.’s national weather forecaster told The Associated Press that such high temperatures are now a normal part of life in a country that isn’t ready for such extremes.

The U.K. Met Office, which keeps track of the weather, got a preliminary reading of 104.5 degrees Fahrenheit (40.3 degrees Celsius) at Coningsby in eastern England on July 19. This was a record. The highest temperature ever recorded in Britain before this was 38.7 C (101.7 F). It took place in 2019.

Musk just said on Twitter that Tesla will start selling heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for homes. This is important to know because it explains why Musk just said this. The billionaire said that Tesla is working on a device that can heat and cool homes.

Tesla work on an HVAC system

Tesla is starting to work on an HVAC system that will have a HEPA filter to clean the air and maybe even make clean water. With this filter, it would be possible to get rid of dust, pollen, mould, bacteria, and any other airborne particles that could be harmful.

On July 18, a Twitter user begged Musk, “Please make home HVAC with a HEPA filter. My allergies are killing me right now.”

“It’s on the list of products we plan to make in the future,” said the CEO of Tesla (TSLA)—Get Tesla Inc. Report. “This is especially important in areas like Austin, where the pollen count is through the roof.”

Musk has talked about a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system made by Tesla before. He did it in 2020 and at the beginning of the year as well. But this is the first time he has said for sure that this product is on the list of things that Tesla will make in the future.

In March 2020, the business tycoon described how this system would clean the air. Musk said that he thinks it is a smart system because it is based on the Octovalve heat pump that was made for the Tesla Model Y SUV.

Musk tweeted on March 23, 2020, “Sure would love to make a home HVAC that is quiet and efficient, with relative humidity and a HEPA filter.”

People say that the Tesla HVAC system can catch bacteria and viruses.

He said that the system should talk to the car to find out when the owner is supposed to be home. That way, the temperature, and humidity would be just right when the owner got there. Because of this, no energy is wasted. He also talked about the possibility of getting water from condensation.

“We could maybe also get water from the condensation.” It seems strange that air conditioning and heating systems make clean water and then dump it on the ground. At the time, Musk said

Tesla has a lot more experience with HVAC systems thanks to the “Bioweapon Defense Mode,” which is an efficient air filtering system that decreases the direct effects of air pollution on the people inside its vehicles. The way it works is that the system increases the pressure inside the car so that less outside air can get in. This is helpful in places like California, where there are a lot of fires. It comes with both the Model S and the Model X.

HEPA air filtering system

Tesla says that the HEPA air filtering system in its cars is 10 times bigger than the filters in other cars. It removes “at least 99.97% of fine particulate matter and harmful gases, as well as bacteria, viruses, pollen, and mould spores.” This makes it “100 times more effective than premium automotive filters.”

The company says that its “HEPA air filter in Model Y, S, and X removes > 99.97% of dust, pollen, mould, bacteria, and any other airborne particles.”

Musk is currently focusing on Volume 3 of Tesla’s famous “Master Plan,” which is like a secret guide to changing transportation and saving the world from pollution. Based on what Musk said, one of the products in this strategic plan will be an HVAC system for a single home.
