A new book says that when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved back, it affected Prince William’s children.
Katie Nicholl, an expert on the royal family, is writing a book called “The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy and the Future of the Crown.” The Mail on Sunday published a part of the book.
In the excerpt, Nicholl wrote that Harry and Meghan’s decision to step back had effects on the whole royal family, but that it “put a significantly greater royal burden” on William and Kate Middleton and how they are raising their children.
Robert Lacey, a royal historian, told Nicholl that the public appearances of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis in recent years show that the Prince and Princess of Wales changed how they raised their children after Meghan and Harry took a step back.
Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children
He told Nicholl, “We’ve seen the kids act in front of the cameras in a way that couldn’t have been in the original plan.”We know that William and Kate want to raise their children in relative privacy, but the kids have had to become a big part of the show,” he said.
In 2022, George and Charlotte will be at a memorial service for Prince Philip; the three of them will be at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June, and George and Charlotte will be at the funeral of the late monarch.
On their first day at Lambrook School, which happened to be the day before the Queen died, the royal children were also photographed with their parents.
But Kate and William still seem to keep their kids away from too much attention, even though they just moved. A source who did not want to be named told CNN that Wales moved from London to Windsor Castle in part to give their children a “normal” life.
Because of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s step back,
Nicholl also wrote that William hasn’t been able to forgive Harry for stepping back for many reasons, including how Harry’s choices have affected his family.
But they were seen together during the Queen’s funeral services. William invited Harry and Meghan to go on a walk with him and Kate at Windsor Castle, and the brothers walked side by side behind their grandmother’s casket.
After the Queen died, there were also signs that Harry and King Charles III could get along better.
