Fact: The Office LEGO Ideas Set Returns Tonight

Fans of The Office can finally celebrate. You’ve seen LEGO sets for Friends and Seinfeld, and now it’s your turn.

If a LEGO Ideas campaign goes well, a 1,164-piece set could be used to build the Dunder-Mifflin offices. Also, The Office LEGO set (21336) will have a new record of 15 Minifigures, and 12 of them will be able to show two different facial expressions by turning their heads.

The Office LEGO Ideas Set was available for pre-order in July, but they stopped at some point between then and now. But it will be back tonight, September 30th, or October 1st, at 9 pm PT/12 am ET for its official launch at the LEGO Shop. It will cost $119.99. It will come out in October 2022, along with a bunch of new LEGO sets.

There are Minifigures of Michael Scott, Dwight Schrute, Jim Halpert, Pam Beesly, Ryan Howard, Angela Martin, Oscar Martinez, Kevin Malone, Stanley Hudson, Kelly Kapoor, Phyllis Lapin Vance, Meredith Palmer, Creed Bratton, Toby Flenderson, and Darryl Philbin, as well as Garbage, Angela’s cat.

These mini figures come with well-known accessories. In fact, the whole set is full of Easter eggs, like Kevin’s pot of chili, the stapler in Jello, the Golden Ticket, the Dundie trophy, the ‘World’s Best Boss’ mug, Jim’s teapot, the letter and engagement ring for Pam, Michael’s “Threat Level Midnight” screenplay, and Dwight’s hidden weapons.

The reception area, Michael’s office (which slides out to show), Jim and Dwight’s desk island, Phyllis and Stanley’s desk island, the conference room, and more are all part of the LEGO layout of the Scranton Dunder Mifflin office. The set also comes with an illustrated book about The Office, the fan who made the set, and the LEGO designers who made it. In this case, the fan creator is Jaijai Lewis, who said the following about his creation and the support he got:

For me, it’s a show that makes me feel better. It’s funny, relatable, and warms your heart. Over the years, I’ve heard from tens of thousands of fans that they turn to it when they’re having a hard time. I spent about seven years on this project as a whole. For my designs, I looked at behind-the-scenes photos, set plans, and watched the show again. It was a lot of fun to reenact some of the show’s most memorable moments.

Even after I got 10,000 votes, I kept adding new things to the model to make it better. One of the biggest changes I made was resizing the set to make it smaller while keeping all of the characters. It means a lot to me that my fans came out to show support for and vote on my new designs. “

Peacock is showing The Office right now. You can try signing up here if you haven’t already. Through the service, you can watch the first five seasons of The Office for free.
