ASUS Introduces World’s First 17-Inch Foldable OLED Laptop

The folding screen can be set up as a desktop, laptop, tablet, or e-book.

ASUS just released the first 17-inch foldable OLED laptop in the world as part of its Zenbook line. The 12.5-inch display notebook was shown off at this year’s CES. It can change from a laptop with a wireless keyboard and trackpad to a tablet.

When more screen space is needed, the keyboard can be pulled away from the main screen and opened up to make a full 17-inch monitor that stands on its own. The display that folds up can also be used as an e-book.

The screen folds up and has a resolution of 2560 x 1920, a fast response time of 0.2ms, a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and an HDR True Black contrast ratio of 1 million to 1.

A 12th-generation Intel Core i7-1250 processor and 16GB of memory power the laptop. The Asus ZenBook 17 Fold OLED costs about $3,000 USD and weighs 1.5 kg.
